Rahul D Thalia

Rahul has a diverse experience of over 8 years in the financial services sector.

At Sarffin, he looks after multiple service verticals and is responsible for the implementation of strategies in a cost effective and time efficient manner.

He has developed the Private Placement business at the firm where he deals with developing broker network, monitoring daily trade sheets and managing client portfolios. He also looks after capital raising services that targets mid-sized debt syndication and private equity deals. He is an active member of the advisory team where he takes interest in restructuring, mergers, divestments & asset sale transactions.

Prior to Sarffin, he worked with Gaia Renewable Capital, a global Private Equity Investment Vehicle focused on the Renewable Energy space across Europe & Asia, where he was responsible for deal sourcing and evaluation, financial modeling and valuations, preparing pitch book & IMs, negotiating terms & transaction closure.

His earlier stints were with EvalueServe (India), Zacks Research India (a US based equity research firm) and PriceWaterHouseCoopers  in India.

He holds an MS & CFA Charter degree from ICFAI University and is a graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta.

D. S. Thalia

Mr. Thalia has an extensive experience of over 35 years across various domains such as capital markets, investment management, financial accounting & Income tax matters, and international trade & commerce, etc.

At Sarffin, he acts as a mentor in developing strategies and overall management process of the firm. He looks after brokerage & distribution services at the firm where he advises clients on their investment portfolios while also contributing vigorously to the research activities as well.  He is also an active member of the advisory team and takes part in Income Tax related and Cross border transactions, etc.

Prior to Sarffin, he was working as the Vice President of Premier Vinyl Flooring Ltd. at its Moscow office. There he had an imperative experience in developing cross border trade relations that resulted in significant expansion of business across multiple locations in the C.I.S. region. His earlier stints also include working with other companies like R. D. Tea Limited and Tulsan Properties Limited.

He holds a Dual Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com) from Rajasthan University and In Law (LLB) from the University of Calcutta.
